Services / Line marking
Line marking
Road line marking services for major infrastructure works across Victoria, and the ongoing maintenance that keeps civil projects, car parks and access roads compliant.

What it is
What the crew does on site.
The installation of road markings across entire road networks, subdivisions, highways, freeways and major construction projects — from a few kilometres to a major arterial road upgrade.
On the maintenance side: safety audits deem line marking faded and unsafe for motorists, and the Department of Transport and Planning or a council asks us to refresh it back to reflectivity requirements. We can run those audits ourselves, or come in and mark what an audit has already flagged.
Why Southern Highway
Family-run since the backyard. Built for network scale.
Two generations of the same family, out of Geelong and Horsham, with the plant and the people to hold a contract that runs the length of Western Victoria.

Asked on every quote call
The questions before the question.
What project managers and council engineers ask us before they ask for a price.
Ask us something elseWhat type of material do you use?
Waterborne and solvent paints, with the glass bead grade chosen to the requirement. All of it applied to AS 1742.
When do you need to be on site?
It depends what put the job on the table — resurfacing and reconstruction, a new road or subdivision, a redesign or blackspot upgrade, or a safety audit finding marking faded below reflectivity requirements. Where road users have been deemed at risk we treat it as urgent maintenance, and multiple depots across South West Victoria mean same-day turnaround is possible.
Do you need plans to quote?
Scope is priced against the plans and the length of road involved, so plans are the fastest way to a firm number. Send what you have and we will tell you if anything is missing.
Can you work in live traffic, or at night?
Both. Work is booked day or night to suit the road and the traffic it carries, with truck-mounted attenuators for live-traffic operation and in-house traffic management, so the works and the controls come from one supplier.
Who signs off that the marking is right?
The job is set out and spotted on the ground before a drop of paint goes down, then checked against AS 1742 on completion and captured on the job sheets we keep for the record.
